Robert is originally from Hastings, England, and studied at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. He now lives in Columbia, SC where he is an Associate Professor in Theatre at the University of South Carolina. He has known and collaborated with Richard for 25 years. He is known for his inventive productions of Shakespeare. He directed the best-selling smash hit Henry V, as well as Richard lll, Twelfth Night, Othello and Henry Vlll at Folger Shakespeare Theatre in Washington, DC.
