Richard trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London and has had a long career working in theatre,TV and film all over the world.
He was until recently the artistic director of The St Lawrence Shakespeare Festival. This summer he directed A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM for the Festival. He is currently working on his next solo play, BOY BEATLE.
Recent projects include playing Henry Irving in THESE DEEDS at Theatre Kingston. PRESCOTT PANDEMIC TALES - and filming his solo show, STROLLING PLAYER
Last summer he directed TWELFTH NIGHT and in 2019 he played the title role in CYRANO, both at SLSF. In 2018, he directed AS YOU LIKE IT for the Festival. He also directed A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM for The Chekhov Collective at The Citadel in Toronto, which opened in February 2018.
